The mission of the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis is to:

  • advance the science and evidence based practice of all aspects of prenatal screening, diagnosis and therapy;
  • foster education in and knowledge of the above areas, among members and the public, by means of international symposia, meetings, and courses and the society's journal, Prenatal Diagnosis;
  • encourage the exchange of information and experience among members and between members and the public; and
  • offer a platform from which a variety of relevant opinions may be disseminated to members, other professionals and the public.

Prenatal Diagnosis is the official journal of ISPD.  Published 13 times per year in simultaneous print and online editions, this peer-reviewed publication communicates the results of clinical and basic research in prenatal and preimplantation diagnosis in humans, animal and in vitro models.

All ISPD members receive an online subscription to Prenatal Diagnosis as part of their membership.  ISPD members are also eligible for a preferential print subscription rate to Prenatal Diagnosis.
