Continuing EducationThe ISPD conference has been approved for the following continuing education credits (maximum credit hours allowed listed). If you wish to receive credit for attending conference workshops and/or sessions, please indicate that when you register. ISPD will track your contact hours at the conference. Up to 25.15 Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors Continuing Education CreditsUp to 21.2 contact clock hours of continuing education credit from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (21.2 ACA Continuing Education Credits)This event is co-sponsored by the American Counseling Association (ACA). ACA is approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer up to 21.2 contact clock hours of continuing education credit. ACA adheres to NBCC continuing education guidelines. NBCC approved contact hours will be provided by ACA. ACA offers 10 contact clock hours for every one continuing education unit, as approved by the American Board of Genetic Counseling. Up to 25.5 Category 1 Credits towards the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition AwardThe University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, Division of Continuing Professional Development and Knowledge Translation is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) and by reciprocity through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) of the United States to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development and Knowledge Translation designates this educational program as meeting the accreditation criteria for a maximum of 6.25 Category 1 credits for the June 1 – Pre-Conference Workshops and 19.25 Category 1 credits for the June 2, 3 and 4 – Conference Sessions toward the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. This program is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This program has been reviewed and approved by UBC Division of Continuing Professional Development and Knowledge Translation. Each physician should claim only those credits he/she actually spent in the activity.
