Abstracts
Abstract submission has closed.
Authors will be notified of their presentation status in late April.
Prenatal diagnosis and therapy professionals in all disciplines
were
encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation. Abstracts will be reviewed
and selected for oral or poster presentation based on importance and timeliness of topic,
scientific rigor,
appropriate analytic approach, meaningful findings, applicability to
the conference topic and clarity of writing. Notice of acceptance will
be made to the corresponding
author in April 2010.
The best presentations from the meeting will be published in a special issue
of the journal Prenatal Diagnosis (John Wiley & Sons). Authors of accepted
abstracts should be prepared to submit a manuscript immediately following
the meeting for consideration
of inclusion in the meeting issue. All submitted papers will undergo peer
review. In addition, ISPD offers an award for the best abstract presented
by an author less than 40 years of age at the time of the conference (11 – 14
July 2010).
Abstract Guidelines
Presentation Type
You may submit your abstract for consideration as a poster-only presentation,
or poster or oral presentation.
Word Limit
Limit your abstract to a maximum of 350 words total.
Section Headings
We recommend, but do not require, the following abstract
section headings:
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Keywords
Upon submission of your abstract, you will be asked
to select keywords describing your abstract. The purpose of these selections
is to aid in the review
and placement process.
Conference Registration
If accepted, the presenting
author will be required to register for the conference at the appropriate
rate (Member, Nonmember, Student or Nurse/Genetic Counselor). A 2010 ISPD membership qualifies attendees for a reduced rate to the conference.
